Worship Ministries

When I was a kid I remember riding in the back seat of our bigger than life Chevy Impala station wagon looking at the road signs and wondering what “Bird Sanctuary” meant as I drove through some of those small North Carolina towns. One day I got the nerve to ask at the risk of sounding like there was really something I didn’t know…after all I was about 11 or 12 and knew most everything already. My dad explained to me that it was a safe place for birds to live and that no one could hunt and kill birds in that area.

As I grew and continue to get to know God more I understand that God gives us sanctuary. He gives us a safe place to be ourselves and to live without constant fear. He offers a relationship with us that provides for us the ability to live out all that He created us to be. As we grow in this knowledge we can’t help but respond with a heart and life that says “THANK YOU”. That is worship – a heart that is awakened by and responds to its creator.

At LHCN we extend that safe place to our services of worship. We encourage everyone to be themselves as they encounter the truth of God’s love. We respond to God through singing exciting and intimate songs of worship and we use instruments that make a joyful noise to our great God. We also celebrate through the sharing of God’s word to us, we give our financial tithes & offerings to God and we worship by remembering Jesus’ sacrifice for us in the elements of communion. Media is an important part of our worship experience too. Sound, lights and video are used weekly to enhance our worship experience.

We welcome everyone to our worship services and we believe that everyone can find their place within the LHCN Family.
